Choosing a broker is one of the biggest financial pre-trade decisions you’ll ever make.
Entrusting your trading capital with any broker is a big risk. Therefore, you must find someone
reliable enough that will justify your trust.
One important thing you must make sure is that your broker is regulated. Regulated brokers
are those which are registered with the financial regulatory body of their country (for example
the FCA in the UK) and, therefore, comply with all their financial obligations while following strict
standards of fair trading and transparency. Any investor who trades with an unregulated broker
is taking a huge risk with his/her money.

We Are Regulated

We Are Not Affiliated with GMOinvestments

There has been some confusion regarding GMOTrading and GMOinvestments. We therefore wish to clarify that GMOTrading is not affiliated with or related in any way to GMOinvestments.
As we mentioned earlier, GMOTrading is a licensed regulated brand under the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). GMOinvestments, on the other hand, is NOT a licensed and regulated brand.
According to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), GMOinvestments is not an authorized or registered firm and is currently conducting financial services activities in the UK, claiming to be an authorized firm. They have been using a number of domains which include the following: “,,,,”.
GMOinvestments have been using the “clone firm” tactic which is usually used by fraudsters wherein they contact people unexpectedly. As an investor, you should be cautious if you have been called out of the blue. It may be possible that they use the name of a genuine firm, the firm’s reference number (RFN) or other details shown by authorized firms.

Protect Yourself from Fraudsters

We strongly recommend that you only deal with financial firms that are authorized, regulated and licensed. Carrying out transactions with an unauthorized firm will put you and your money at very high risk.
If you are contacted by any financial firm, question them directly before taking any further action. To ensure you are using genuine contact details for the firm, use an online search engine and visit the company’s official website. You may also check the Financial Services Register to ensure that the firm is authorized. They possess information on all the firms and individuals who are or have been regulated by them.
